In 2018, with some fantastic friends, we organized a concert “Taiwansk musikk i norge” in Kulturhuset in Oslo. The initial idea was to explore/identify the Taiwanese folk music and bring it to Oslo. The program was focus on the folk tune which has been arranged to western classical chamber music form, by Taiwanese composers. Besides the music, the concert also contents the history telling of Taiwan, in the order of how it related to the music.
The concert was kindly supported by Taiwansk forening i Norge, Taipei Mission in Sweden, Overseas Community Affairs Council in Taiwan, Norway Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, and Norges musikkhøgskole.
We were so appreciative of all the warm support and feedback from the audience, it gave us great motivation to explore more, bring more to the next concert. With a passion for sharing the music and culture, we are happy to announce that we are coming back in 2021!

This time, we want to bring some contemporary music form Taiwan. The works have been written in the past 30 years and look into the history of this period more closely. This is also a very special project for me, since I’m turning 30 this year, it’s in a way, reflex my own life and experience. In the concert, I want to present how Taiwan has been connected to the world more than before in the past 30 years, from the music point of view.
